I was hoping that the book would arrive today, but it looks like Monday might be the day. I'm so excited to be able to hold the book in my hands. Can't wait to sit down and look at the pages.
Patience, patience, patience.

The book has been launched and as in dog trianing, I must be patience to see how well it will sell. I hope that people will find it useful to help their stressed and anxious dogs-- the real goal for this book.
It really started an an idea-- a small booklet on how to do the relax on a mat exercise that I teach nearly every dog that I work with. I was tired of printing the handout that I use, and thought that maybe Dog Wise would consider making my handout into a booklet. Well, that was two years ago and now there is a book.

Since I'm about to have my first book published, I thought it would be a good time to start up some conversation about how I got to this point.

My first dog as an adult was an Aussie which we named Codi Blu. She was 12 weeks of blue, copper and white fuzz. She was the last of her litter.

Codi was everything puppy and energy. I was in love, every bit as much as love can be, but it didn't seem to to both ways. Codi certinly was willing to spend time with me, love to learn, but was a lot of puppy for a first-time puppy mom.
